You trust us with information about your holiday home — including your WiFi password. We take that seriously. Here's exactly how it works.
To create your personalised welcome book, you fill in details like your name, email address and property information (address, WiFi, house rules). We use this solely to generate and deliver your book — for nothing else. If you sign up for the free card or our newsletter, we keep your email address. We also keep simple visitor statistics for our website — cookieless, with an anonymised IP address, on our own server.
All data travels over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS). Nothing is ever sent across the internet in readable form.
Sensitive details, such as your WiFi password, are stored encrypted — not in readable form. Even we can't casually read them.
Your payment is handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. The details you fill in on the form (like your WiFi password) never go there — only the information needed to complete the payment does.
We keep your submitted details and generated book only as long as you need them: up to 7 days after your download. After that, they're deleted automatically. For our own admin, we keep only the bare minimum about your order (email address, product, date).
You receive your book via a secure, temporary download link — not as a standalone attachment that stays in your inbox forever.
We work with a handful of trusted partners: Dodo Payments (handles your payment, as merchant of record), Brevo (sends our emails), TransIP (our domain and info@ mailbox) and Netcup (hosting, EU-based servers). We never sell your data.
You can always ask to see your data, or have it deleted. Just drop us a line at info@welcomap.com and we'll sort it out.
No online service can promise 100% security — but we do everything we can to protect your data, keep as little of it as possible, and stay open about how it all works. Got a question? We'd love to hear it.
Our welcome books are digital products (PDF) that you download directly and can update for free at any time in your own Welcomap app. Nothing is shipped physically.
Because this is a digital product delivered immediately, by purchasing you agree that delivery starts right away and that you waive the statutory right of withdrawal as soon as the download is available. This is standard practice for digital downloads.
Payments are processed via Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record: they handle the payment and, where applicable, remit VAT.
