You can also add a QR code to the PDF or hang one up separately, so guests can open the book straight on their own phone — handy for anyone who'd rather not flip through a folder.
Have an emergency plan ready: the location of the fuse box, a torch within reach, and the grid operator's phone number. During a longer outage, the nearest inhabited place may be further away than guests are used to.
For a private well or borehole: state whether the water is tested and safe to drink, or whether guests should use bottled water instead. When in doubt, always choose the safe option.
