🌊 Our tip to start with: head straight to the beach — it's only a 5-minute walk, and the sunset by the beach pavilion is beautiful.

How to get in: the key is in the lockbox next to the front door. The code is 2026. Turn the dial left to open it.
Parking: you can park for free right outside with the parking permit on the dining table. It gets busy in peak season — if you arrive later, there's also a car park 3 minutes' walk away on Duinweg.

Heating: the thermostat is in the hallway — just set it to the temperature you like.
Smoking: not inside; it's fine on the terrace, please use the ashtray.
Pets: unfortunately not allowed.

Flags: 🟢 green = safe · 🟡 yellow = caution, only up to your waist · 🔴 red = no swimming · 🔴🟡 red-yellow = supervised swimming area. Tides: check before a long beach walk — at the harbour pier you can get cut off at high tide. Rip currents: don't swim against the current — swim parallel to the shore and raise your hand. Jellyfish: possible in July-August; stung? Rinse with seawater. Emergency numbers: 112 · lifeguard post (beach entrance 3) · doctor Domburg (0118-123456) · pharmacy Domburg (Ooststraat 4). First-aid kit: kitchen cupboard under the sink.
Our favourite beaches: Domburg beach — wide, family-friendly, with beach pavilions. Westkapelle — a little quieter, beautiful sunsets.
Walks: the dune path to the little lighthouse (20 min, great views) and the walk along the Westkapelle sea dike.
Cycling: from the door, it's a 15-minute ride along the coast to Westkapelle. Rent bikes at Fietsverhuur Domburg for around €10/day.

Checklist: dishwasher on, waste in the right bin (next to the shed), windows closed, heating turned down, used towels in the laundry basket in the bathroom, key back in the lockbox.
